Kim Bainbridge LL.B

Kim Bainbridge is the Principal of Garden & Green Lawyers.  He joined the firm shortly after his admission as a Barrister and Solicitor in 1980 and for more than 40 years Kim has conducted the practice of Garden & Green and he was named Victorian Regional Lawyer of the Year in 2005.

Kim was Defence Counsel in Melbourne for many years practising mainly in criminal law but has now built one of the largest Personal Injury firms in regional Victoria conducting countless WorkCover, Public Liability and TAC Claims.  He has also successfully mediated many civil and family law disputes.

In recent times Kim has become widely known for record settlements in all types of personal injury ranging from asbestos claims, dog attack trauma, slipping cases, Q Fever and abattoir disease claims, infectious diseases and more recently School Bullying cases with one of the largest settlements of almost $700,000.00 in one case.

In one of the more remarkable cases, Kim was able to establish that an Australian employee on a work trip to Germany was bitten by a tick in the Black Forest.  The employee went onto suffer a stroke, needed a heart transplant as a result of contracting the Borrelia Virus from the tick.  The case went to the Supreme Court on review being heavily contested by WorkCover. The Court found in our client’s favour.

In another case, Kim was able to prove that a 37 year old family man had been exposed to deadly asbestos as a child while he playfully helped builders who were renovating his parent’s home.

Garden & Green maintains a wide practice in regional Victoria and has facilities to confer with our clients in Melbourne.
